The other day, on May 27th, we played a show at club Earth dom in
Shinjuku.
It was about 4 months since we had played a show in January. The show
was
FUN! It was Slight Slappers' CD release party show, so many people
showed
up. There were some reasons why we had not had any show these 4 months,
like
recording, making songs, searching drummer... but now we feel that
"yes! We
need to play shows!" ^o^

* Danger, danger, danger... so addicted. We are now so addicted to
"Bokun
Habanero - wilds in Mexico version". "Bokun Habanero" is a snack which
is
famous with its spicy tastes in Japan. "Bokun Habanero" means "Tyrant
Habanero". Red Savina Habanero is the world¡Çs hottest spice. I am not
that
into hot spicy things, but this Mexico version (green package one) is
so
GOOD! Regular version Habanero (red package one) is too much pepper
taste
for me, but this green Mexico version tastes of course super spicy, but
it
also has kind of sour spicy flavor, like guacamole. I buy up all Green
Bokun
Habanero at stores around my house and eating every day. I guess cactus
which green Bokun Habanero contains as a secret flavor is addictive??

** We have been making songs for the next album. We were hoping to
release
it in summer, but it seems that we need to make some more songs, so the
release may be a little delayed. We hope to finish it up and release it
and
play shows and go on tour soon!! Anyway, get ready for our next action!

I received their message too because I'm in their mailing list too. Seems they have a new drummer! Cool! Hope to catch some recordings of their new performances soon!

I was thinking that as well. How great their emails are. They always make them seem so personal. It's nice.

I love melt banana, I've got to join the mailing list. They seem like such nice people.

do they actually have a new drummer, or are they using a drum machine again? either way, i can't wait until they put out a new album!

i think they have about 3 or 4 drummers who fill in when they are available.

the problem is that their music is not so available, I think!

fucking ace post. i'd slap your model ass again but just did yesterday so i'm guessing it's impossible.

i fucking love melt banana & have some black & white negatives of their dc show last year, i have to get them scanned, so i can post them here... just don't know anybody w/ a negative scanner in this town.

can't wait until new record but looking forward to it. i think ive managed to burn a hole on cellscape just with the cd player laser due to the many replays-- i keep a copy in the car, compels me to drive like a fucking maniac of course.

now i want some Bokun Habanero :D

every time they player changes from track 1 to 2 i get a serious adrenaline jolt.

new album whee!

they did a new one off ep last year, I think, I remember hearing two new songs (maybe it was a split, I'm too lazy to look right now even though I uploaded it on here) that no one seemed to pay attention to, strangely.

I bet the next album will rule.

I saw them in September or October in Budapest and it was phenomenal! I was quite surprised; I like the direction they are going in. I can't believe Slight Slappers are still around!!!

New album? Can't wait!

MB is such a great band and brilliant live-act aswell! I attended a few gigs in sweden last year. Fantastic, I hope they will come back!

yeah that e.p. was out takes off the bambi album sessions, totally stunning and the melt banana lite live mini album was astonishingly brutal in its brilliance... new mxbx album can only be a good thing!
