Right Hands vs Left Hands

Are you right handed, left handed, or ambidextrous?

Does it affect anything else than the way you use your hands?

Do you prefer a certain side of the bed?

A certain side of the car if you are in the passenger row?

Do you instinctively want to turn down a certain path in video games?

I'm right handed- I like to be on the right side of rooms, couches, beds, etc, and I always want to turn right.

Right-handed. Very right-handed.

jon boy 06.03.2006 10:56 AM

depends what i am doing.

i am right handed generally and lay on the left hand side of the bed usually. although i do like to lay in the middle on occasion, normally when drunk.

elix it 06.03.2006 10:57 AM

I am also right-handed.

I sometimes go to this place that has batting cages and mini golf and pool tables and you know, all that good stuff. I go to the batting cages and can't seem to hit the ball (right-handed). I bat left-handed and I do better... much much better.

What the fuck is up with that?

Don't worry, I have more questions for you if you can answer this one.

my grandad was ambidextrous and could write his name with his left and right hand at the same time as if it were mirror writing.

You're probably subliminally left-handed. Were you always right-handed? Maybe you were left handed when you were young and your parents forced you to use your right hand. Some parents do that.

elix it 06.03.2006 11:09 AM

Always right handed. It doesn't really bother me. Curious is all.

alyasa 06.03.2006 11:23 AM

It does sound curious... :)

PAULYBEE2656 06.03.2006 11:24 AM

im all right. right side of bed, couch, car, body, whatever

Neongod 06.03.2006 12:34 PM

I write with my right. I sleep on my left side on the left side of the bed. I prefer making right turns when driving. I'm an ambidextrous smoker. No pattern here...sorry.

qprogeny79 06.03.2006 12:37 PM

left, though i play guitar right handed. i never understood the whole "it's hard to adapt" thing . . . aside from being a tad clumsy at times i never had a problem (except i can't use erasable pens because i smudge like hell). and i sleep on the right side of the bed.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 06.03.2006 12:55 PM

There are probably some non ambidextrous people that have taught themselves how to play guitar left or right handed. Even people that can flip a guitar over and play it each way.

EMMAh 06.03.2006 01:12 PM

I'm left handed, sleep on the left side of my bed, and I like sitting in the right side of the car. I also played guitar left handed.

h8kurdt 06.03.2006 01:43 PM

Left handers? Freaks that's all they are, should be burnt at the cross I think. Just because I play cricket (oi, no laughing) and kick left-footed doesn't mean I'm left handed in any way though.

schizophrenicroom 06.03.2006 02:03 PM

I'm a lefty!

I like the right side of the bed.

Inhuman 06.03.2006 02:04 PM

I'm really weird when it comes to hands. I'm mainly right, but when playing hockey I'm left. When raking or doing anything else involving something below the waist, I'm both.

Danny Himself 06.03.2006 02:06 PM

I write left handed, but I do everything else right handed.
I can't co-ordinate the right side of my mouth.
I like the left side of the bed.
I like the left side of the car.
No.

acousticrock87 06.03.2006 02:19 PM

I'm right handed, but left footed. Sucks in baseball, but great for drumming. Aside from that there isn't much effect. I play pool left-handed when I need to, because it's better to learn that than to be stuck with a lefty shot.

In video games I generally turn left (although I accidentally just typed "right" instead, so maybe there's some subconscious...thing going on), but that's only because I feel like left is the "underdog" and probably less commonly followed. Same with flipping coins. I pick tails because it's the "left" side of the coin - no one picks it.

And what the hell is the "right side" of a bed? From where?

nomadicfollower 06.03.2006 02:27 PM

Right handed; to such and extent that my left arm is left very weak.
