Henry Flynt in London on the 17th of this month
Anyone going? Tears?
Nobody going to this gig? He hasn't played live in 25 years!
i may go
John Edwards and those people are playing too. Hurry up, get a ticket! His niece is playing guitar along with him, apparently. I'm only hoping it is not going to be one of his 'punk' sets, 'cause judging by the recorded music they're aren't that good.
i'm not going anymore

i've been coerced into celebrating my birthday, plus i'm only really in the mood to see more lively things at the moment. |

You didn't miss anything, T&B - quite easily one of the worst gigs I've ever suffered in my life. |
Yes, as Melly pointed out, it was possibly one of the worst gigs I've been to ever. Henry Flynt, someone whose music I've always loved so much was TERRIBLE! Involuntarily hilarious, it can only be described as grandad hijacking someone's amp, looping a fraction of a second of guitar/drum/bass action (which was ace, but not him playing it), and going for some of the most hideous, half-arsed alzeheimer rock known to man. Come back Lol Coxhill, all is forgiven.

i had a feeling it would be it would be shit, & Cafe Oto can stick their homemade quiche up their arse
It's funny 'cause at one point during his set me and Melly were standing by the bar and I was staring at the biscuit jar on it and thought to myself ''Is this a fucking organic food shop or what?''. I love the venue, though, it's spacious and people seem chilled out. Or maybe I'm too fat for small ones. I prefer Barden's, though. More old skool rock.
