stupid corporate slavery self hate bullshit argh the months i have wasted with nothing else on my mind but cigs and how i should quit them and finding excuses to keep smoking them and overriding my own judgement and giving into the inevitability of going to buy them. its fucking stupid.

i used to think they were so punk rock and cool. when i smoked my first one at age 13 it was a pretty fuckin exciting thing. and i still have desire for them constantly.

but when i look back on the time ive wasted smoking, and all the other shit i coulda been doing its overwhelmingly sad/pathetic.

fuck cigs forever.

spending time giving into such a basic stupid desire is pissing me off.

Really though.. they're a waste of time and money completely. I always told myself that I would never date a girl that smoked cigarettes... But, it hardly bothered me at all really when I had a girlfriend who did.
Anytime I brought up her smoking, she brought up my ganja smoking

I like cigars very much , and I can't stand filter cigarettes anymore.
Smoking is one of the finest activity I know.

I don't smoke myself, but I find smoking cigs so stupid. I have loads of friends (one of which is like, 15) who smoke cigs, and I can't fucking understand how you could waste all your money in such things

yes smoking is pretty stupid. but there are a lot of things that are pretty stupid... so yeah who cares?

i wish i could quit smoking RIGHT now.
i'm not even going to start discussing the whys and the hows.
i'm not confident enough to quit.
I think i might within the next couple of years.
I'm starting to really "feel" the smoking in a bad way.
I'm 31. I started smoking at 15. I have spent more time as a smoker than as a non smoker.
so it's difficult to picture myself in a number of daily situations without the usual cig. It's not so much a money thing. I smoke roll-ups and i buy a pack a week, so it's not an issue.
but it's just no good.
+ i wish my son didn't see me smoke.

yes I dont wanna do it forever, but as long as I will smoke I gotta enjoy it or it will be toally stupid. do what ever you enjoy, if its smoking its ok. and if its munching fast food all day long its okay, too. but you will grow fat and it will be moe unhealthy then smoking 2 packs cigs a day, hahahaha

i really do want to quit now. i have been thinking about it more and more recently and it will do my health so much good. its just when i drink thats the problem.

I smoke a few cigarettes a week. They're smooth. I buy like six packs a year.

im off them and its great.

already feeling happier, more content. listened to loads of new music. been productive.

my plan is to avoid all thought of them and to spend all my money on records thereby keeping me too poor to go and get a pack

Almost nobody I know who smokes wants to keep smoking. They almost all of them want to quit.

it is incredibly cool for a while tho. well it was to me. until it gets to the point were its fucking up yr health seriously, you look horrible, yr coughing upflem every few minutes, you stink, yr out of breath, yr afraid, you cant concentrate and all that shit.

The book ALLEN CARR'S EASYWAY TO STOP SMOKING - which you can easily download a pdf of on a torrent site is REALLY AMAZING.

i read it ages ago and its what got me over the entire fear/pyschological shit. it requires no willpower.

i sound like some fucking add but still if you wanna quit READ THAT BOOK.

it even encourages you to smoke while you read it.

now i always said i would rather die of lung cancer than read a self help book - so you know i'm not just being whiny and annoying you with some positive thinking bullshit.

You're beginning to see the light. Cigs are pretty much the most un punk things ever. Unless you buy from native americans, then that is kind of cool I guess.

fuck all that "corporate" bullshit. itd be the same thing if heroin was legal it would to be "corporate slavery self hate bullshit". its your own choice. i love nicotine, ive quite sucesffuly before, but found i would rather live with a nasty chest cold and poor breathing skills because i simply lie tobacco. people these days spend way to much time perfecting thier bodies to live long lives. well, what i learned the other night is perfect body or not, were all gonna die, quicly and without reason. so, you might as well do what you enjoy doing while youre here.

I've been smoking my throat raw this weekend because I'm auditioning for a cd thing tomorrow and I want my voice to sound more scratchy and such. Whether or not it'll pay off, we'll see.

Anyway, my plan is to quit when I graduate college. Hopefully I can make that happen.
