Tacos...

So there are no less than six taco joints within one square block from my house.

There is

Tacos Mexico
Chilitos
Taquito
Rio Negro
Tacos Don Jorge
and
El Taco Loco#1

and yet

I have to go to the corporate chain Del Taco

to get decent tacos de pollo

whats the deal? surriously! I know mexicans eat chicken y'all, so why are none of these authentic taco joints having good chicken? I dont understand it at all!

chilitos has good burritos..
el taco loco has good sopas..
tacos mexico used to be good until they changed owners recently..
taquito has good tamales..
rio negro has good enchiladas
tacos don jorge has good regulard tacos...

but the pollo at all of these places is absolutely terrible! so I am stuck on the chain gang..

I can imagine, however this is los angeles, taco trucks, restraunts, stands, and people selling them out of their front yard are more prevalent then liquor stores, which come up as a close second place!

So the LA County Board of supervisors wants to end the taco culture in Los Angeles and for the first time ever Mayor Villaraigosa can’t find anyone to take a picture with.

We already know the Los Angeles city government is anti-taco. First it was the LA city Council that passed a law that required taco trucks to move every half hour or face a $60 fine. It was a small but revealing gesture and the message was clear, the government was coming after the taco. Now the LA county board of supervisors has double dipped into the proverbial guacamole sauce with a ridiculous law that requires taco trucks to move every hour or face a $1000 fine and possibly jail time. What’s next? Waterboarding taco reporters to get them to reveal locations of their favorite loncheras?

“But Bandini, a taco truck parks in front of my restaurant and is ruining my business” This is a legitimate concern for some restaurant owners . Noone thinks it’s right for a taco truck to park directly in front of a restaurant. But as usual LA city officials lack any creative solutions to the problem. Maybe implementing a law where a taco truck cannot park within a certain radius of a brick and mortar restaurant would please everyone.

such in dire need of mexican restaurant locally, especially any with mariscos

was a little spoiled when living at the beach having all tese nice mexican eateries with seafood, and now none, so i end up having to make my own fish tacos most of the time

when i was in LA i regret not getting good mexican food, all i got was some dive in long beach called taco beach with over saltyed margheritas and an ok cali burrito, so next time i am there i hope to get good eats
