I finally installed one. But, whenever I go to download a file, I right click, click on download, and then, nothing. will someone please explain to me what the hell im doing wrong.

have you checked the 'Transfers' tab?

haha, i did actually. im a moron when it comes to computers.

That sometimes happens to me... just try downloading it again or wait and see if it comes up in the Transfers tab...

also, you need to set up your file sharing configuration, click on options at the top of the screen to do this, it allows you to select where to save downloaded files, and which folders you want to make available to share.

also... chances could be that you can't connect to certain users, either because of ports or firewalls and the like but I doubt that's what the problem is.

make sure that you share music and dont just d/l it otherwise people will put you on ignore.
