Rubber O Cement (for caroliner fans, noise lovers, freaks, not for the weak ear'd)
This right here folks is a Caroliner spin off band I just got familar with. Been doing some research on Caroliner for a theater class I'm taking (it was more for easy credits as I have no interest in theater whatsoever, but this class has been rad) and the prof asked us to bring in an example of Musicians bringing in a visual of performance aspect to thier stage show. Obviously there's no better example for me than Caroliner, but this thread ain't about Caroliner, it's about Rubber O Cement. Soundwise, shares really nothing in common with Caroliner. Caroliner have always been sort of noisey, but they have had elements of all sorts of other sounds, Industrial Bluegrass, whatever the fuck that means. This is warped electronic scuzz noise, and some of the sickest shit ever. The full length to watch out for (soulseek has got it) is "High Speed Electronic Cardboard", but there is also apparently a great split with Panicsville (havn't heard it" and two cdr's that I have heard and are great; "Thylakoid Hubcaps and Chloroblast" and "Heated Expression of the Crawly Crule". Please, investiage with caution.

Yeah...they are tremendous fun if you love the feeling of bewilderment. It's incredible to see that one dude jumping around and lurching while playing this handmade long-stringed instrument that's fashioned outta some extremely long 2x4......the thing's seriously at least 12 feet long. He has to hunch over to keep it off the floor. It's kinda dangerous when he swings it around.

saw him open for pengo and wolf eyes 5-6 years ago in rochester. fuckin' unbelievable ... set started with him barreling over a bunch of people in the crowd then he just started freaking out on that instrument which was hooked up to a sculpture that was twitching/vibrating in the corner. set ended with him taking the said instrument and throwing it in the crowd. the crowd parted like the seas and he was outta there ... one of the most intense noise sets i have ever seen.
