Going to Boris Tonight!

It would be more exciting if I wasn`t in a tiff with my boyfriend. I told him I wasn`t going to go, because I`m in a bad mood now, and it hardly seems worth it.

But, I`m bluffing. It would be ungrateful to miss it.

I'm going to see both them and NIN very soon

flophousefloozie 11.13.2008 07:40 PM

Yeah, they played together this week. I was going to go, but I`ve seen NIN a few times, and I`m not really into stadium shows anymore. Plus, I don`t have the money. Should be a great show, though! Have fun.

SuperCreep 11.13.2008 07:41 PM

I just saw them for a third time this year on Sunday.

There's a reason why it was my third time this year.

Inhuman 11.13.2008 07:50 PM

Two nights ago they played Ottawa with NIN, but it was $70, and I just saw them two months ago.

flophousefloozie 11.13.2008 08:05 PM

Yeah, the tickets to see just Boris in a bar cost $15. Seems much more worth it. I`d pay more to see them at this particular venue than to see them in a stadium. Although, NIN puts on a spectacular visual show!

and that's exactly what I paid for my Boris ticket. Plus Torche opened for them!

Pax Americana 11.13.2008 11:51 PM

Saw them a few months ago, they did not dissapoint.

Everyneurotic 11.14.2008 12:12 AM

lucky bastards, the lot of you.

Sonic Youth 37 11.14.2008 01:26 AM

Damn, HEALTH opened for NIN when I saw them two weeks ago. I wish it could have been Boris or even better, Crystal Castles.

Rob Instigator 11.14.2008 10:16 AM

sweet, go and have a blast and ignore your B/F

fugazifan 11.14.2008 10:21 AM

where are they playing tonight? my brothers were looking for cool shows to see in canada this weekend bt i didnt see that they were playing anywhere near where my parents live...
and yeah you should definatly go and enjoy yourself!

batreleaser 11.14.2008 10:33 AM

Saw them with Torche (who though I am very on the fence about, put on a good show) and some terrible band called Blues, who were seriously trying to be an Emo-Doom band. But Boris was great, and Michio adds amazing texture to thier live sound. Good night in Cambridge, MA that was.

flophousefloozie 11.14.2008 12:10 PM

Thanks guys, it was fantastic! I think I made some friends, too, which is nice, since I don't have any town (besides he bf). hehe

The show was in Toronto. Not sure where else they'll be playing, if anywhere in Canada.

I wonder if I saw this "Blues" band open last night. I missed their first song, and didn't catch the name, since I wasn't very interested. Was it a three piece band, with two guitars and drums, by chance?
