It's the old 'civilising the savages' complex. Britain may not have an Empire anymore but it's imperialist impulses live on. It's clear that we as a nation can never properly rest until every corner of the globe is made aware of Coleen Rooney, Tizer and Gordon Ramsey.

Oh, he's on Dutch television already, plus I think there's even a Dutch adaption too of that programme where he goes to restaurants to insult the manager, the cook, the waitress and her dog.
