Live shows of '08/ singles of '08
Right - you're all a bit album-centric in your threads - what were the best live shows you saw this year, and your favourite singles?
Mine were - Messiaen's St Francis... in London, the same's Quartet for the End of time locally , Beethoven's 7th in Rome, the Dave Collett trio locally, Enzuiguri four million times and the old Yorkshire sorts in a pub in Somerset singing Carter Family songs about half a foot away from my face. Singles - Alphabeat's Fascination, Girls Aloud's the Promise & Ladyhawke's Back of the Van. I'll post more singles when I think of them. Apologies if this is a duplicate thread. Or not, I probably don't care. |
Singles:
The Bug+Warrior QueenPoison dart Santogold - Creator (was it a single? if not, "Lights out" will do). and some others I don't have time to think about. Will post some more later. |
There's two singles I forgot about - good skills. The Bug actually had two of my favourites - Skeng was also awesomest.
Junior Spesh! Lidl! It's all coming back to me now... |

absolutely yes. partly because of the music itself, and partly because of meeting greenlight and having good time with him, as well as meeting with Lee and taking a picture with him. A memorable evening. |
