Hi. It's been a while since I've posted saying that I'm still trying to get my hands on original SILVER CD copies of:

• Walls Have Ears
• [or Sonic Youth Sound Experience if not Walls CD]
• Blastic Scene

Someone. Anyone. Help.

Keep your eyes peeled on the British ebay, The Walls Have Ears comes up fairly regularly on there.

It is, and I've seen it on LP and CD, LP more regularly though. Does it definately have to be on CD?

Yeah it's the CD I'm in search of. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to the vinyl, but I've been searching for the CD for some time.

except for the syr vinyls, and random stuff i may find, i collect all my sy stuff on cd. when i first started listening to them i bought a lot of their stuff on cd, so it would be a waste of money and time to start buying their stuff on record. actually, before "sonic nurse", i never bought a new sy cd. all of them have been bought used.

i'm, also, looking for those two records on cd.

I get everything on CD by them that I can. Except for singles, if there's the option, I prefer 7"s. The only other SY vinyl I'll get is vinyl only exclusives like SYR7 -- but I'd still hope for a CD release (like what happened with Master-Dik).

I checked there, but it appears (I can't read Spanish) that they don't ship to USA.

Same here. I listen to stuff in my car as much as anywhere else, so vinyl is kind of useless unless that's the only option. And it's more fun to get singles on vinyl since I'd never bring a single with me in the car anyway.

First things first: The fact that you can't read Spanish is irrelevant, that website is written in French. (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

Second: You're quite right, they don't ship to the good ol' U S of A, but I know from experience that there are a lot of very helpful Europeans who post on here, and if you ask around nicely you're sure to find someone who would be willing to have it sent to their address and then they'll ship it onwards to you.

nah, i could help if you really want to. I do buy and sell stuff from and on Priceminister which is a good site. However it really is silly cuz the three pro sellers who sell this shitty version of WHE ship from the USA. I'm sure if you look up Amazon.com, you can find this. (oops looks not).

i'm still after the Blastic Scene cd so there could be a bidding war if one comes up on ebay :D

i have Walls Have Ears on vinyl and a digital version so i'm not bothered about getting a silver cd of it, after all the cd is just a bootleg of a bootleg isn't it?

you probably have allready done this but can't you just burn a cd and print out a cover for it?

That's not *too* bad if it's one of the originals and in minty condition - the newest Record Collector book values it at £50 mint (then again, I got one about a year ago for £26).

Yeah I have CDR copies of Blastic & Walls... I dnt know if I could bid-war with you Stu, ol' buddy. Yr one of the good collectors, so I'd hate to beat you out (though I'm sure I'd get over it once my CD landed in my mailbox) :cool:

i'm selling Blastic Scene on discogs (the cd has some very visible marks but that do not affect play).

Obviously i'm only selling it because i was able to find a mint copy, but then again i live in the country where it was initially released (Portugal).
