Ozma Appreciation Thread
 

Anyone here a fan? I got into them when I was into Weezer alot in highschool, and since then have always had a soft spot (personally I think they are far more talented, at least consitantly than weezer. Although they haven't made a better record than pinkerton they haven't made a record as bad as anything after it.)

Just wondering, I've been listening to their new record again since it first came out last year after they reuinited and really really dig the last song 'I Wonder'.

Anyways, this won't make sense if noone here has heard of them/likes them.

Yeah. Good clever well-written fun power pop. Don't ever listen to them but I heard a few albums and thought they were good enough. But yeah, they sound more Weezer than Weezer.

Yeah, what's with that? They definitely don't sound AT ALL like Melvins, though I assume that's what they're named after...

Yeah I'd say they are the kind of band that still lacks something to keep them from being more successful, & their lyrics aren't that great sometimes...but there are a few of their songs that give me chills.

i saw them live with weezer and the get up kids and thought they sucked pretty bad.

Never caught a live show, that could be true. Just listened to the records

The Oz books were some of my favorites as a kid... and that's why I thought it was a great band name.

I'm not really into Melvins (and didn't know they had an album titled Ozma).
