Wow, nice.

It's Jools Holland's TV show, here in the UK on BBC2. It generally features fairly credible musicians showcasing two or three songs. Like an adult version of Top of the Pops.

And usually they film performances nicely, too. So, yeah!

Jools is joined by Depeche Mode, Lily Allen, Sonic Youth, Raphael Saadiq and Taj Mahal.

Joining Jools for the fourth show of the series are Depeche Mode. Now approaching 30 years in the music business, the band make their debut performance on the show performing songs from their album Sounds Of The Universe, as well as a couple of classics.

Another Later... debutante, Lily Allen, marks her first appearance in the legendary studio with selections from her chart-topping second album It's Not Me It's You.

By contrast, Sonic Youth make a long awaited return to the studio - their first UK television appearance since appearing in series one back in 1992 - to showcase tracks from their new album The Eternal.

Raphael Saadiq, whose career includes turns in Tony! Toni! Tone! and Lucy Pearl, will be playing tracks from his newly released fourth album The Way I See It, and blues colossus Taj Mahal will also be in the studio.

Ah yes, so I just read! Meh, not sure I want to see an SY set stained by Lilly Allen and Depeche Mode interludes.

SY, Lily Allen and Depeche Mode is pretty close to a dream line-up for me. The new Lily Allen album is pretty great, what I've heard of it, and I've loved DM for years.

Will Jools be tickling the ivories? That's the deal breaker for me.

He'll being playing the (hitherto unknown) boogie woogie piano part on Sacred Trickster.

I like that plural.
New lily allen isn't that good, imo, but needs a deeper listen probably, I could change my mind in a few days (if I manage to stop listening to Jigsaw on loop).

SY have only been on uk tv twice ever I think.

Off the top of my head, I'd say three - Put Blood In The Music, Snub, and Later...
