Has anyone else forgotten their own birthday?

Everyone forgets other peoples birthdays, but I forgot my own, which is kind of sad. I woke up today, like it was a normal day, and I saw a note on the table, so I read it. My mom wrote have a great birthday, Joe on it. And then it hit me. It's a very stupid story I know, but I'm just wondering if anyone else is as stupid as me.

nope. probably because here, birthdays are a big deal, with people constantly asking me what i want to get.

probably because here, birthdays are a big deal, with people constantly getting me what i tell them to get. ;)

Hope your day is a special one now that you know it is the day you were born and all...

I forget my birthday every year.
around age 15 I stoppped giving a fuck about birthdays. just an arbitrary number. birthdays are truly for one's parents and family, who remember when you were born, when you arrived in their lives.

but for people to get hung up celebrating their own birthdays has always seemed stupid to me. It is for others to celebrate that you exist.

that's just me though.

my g/f gets on my ass about it.

I will turn 36 in august. whoop whooop. meaningless number.

ploesj 03.31.2009 01:12 PM

i'm almost twenty!

i do like doing small things on my birthday, it's a reason t get a bunch of people i like together and have fun. last year we had a cheap picknick: everyone brings something to eat or drink and we went somewhere to just eat. since there was way too much food we ended up sharing with some homeless guy and his dog leo. good times!

i wanted to give some kiddie party this year but i'll be too broke due to circumstances. i'm going to see andrew bird one week later and just call that my party.
