Should I sell my Nintendo DS for a PS3 and Metal Gear Solid 4?
I really want to play Metal Gear Solid 4, and I'd rather it be sooner than later. Would a PS3 be worth it just for one game, or are there enough good games on the PS3 besides Metal Gear Solid 4 to justify my purchase?
Tough one. I dunno...depends. Righ tnow I have 3 games. DS is fantastic. Just save your DS and save your money for a ps3.
yes, you most definatley should.
Hell no. MGS4 looks like fun, but you're going to basically play a game with 10 hours of cinemas and 5 hours of gameplay.. is that worth selling the best system since the SNES to spend $400 or so just to do?
I used to have a DS Lite. Then it broke. So I got a PSP. Now I'm gonna trade that in to get a DSi. I miss my DS. It was the shit. much better games than Sony.
I used to want a PS3, but game for game (plus the virtual console!), the Wii is much better and far cheaper. |
What are your favorite Wii games, then? I've never played like a full Wii game. Never finished Twilight Princess but it seemed fun. REALLY want to play Super Mario Galaxy and No More Heroes. Any other good ones?

I really liked Super Mario Galaxy. |
You really shouldn't sell your DS.
And yeah Super Mario Galaxy is super fun, so are Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. Metroid Prime 3 is great as well - if you liked the first two of course - |
how much can even get for a ds? very little i'd presume so i would just keep it and wait a little longer to save the money for a ps3
i want to try the dsi, but since i hardly use my ds i don't think it would be a wise purchase |
is yrs a DS or DSLite? Big difference in price.
I have a lite. What is the difference between a DSi + a Lite? Does it just look different? Like can it play all the same games, I don't wanna have to buy the DSi just so I can play new games. The games better all be compatible with both of the DS systems.
DS Lite has brighter screen, better bettery, and smaller.
I don't think I'd want a DSi.. I don't get the point of the cameras, and the GBA slot is gone.. I'll wait to see if the DSi exclusive games (once they start making them) will be any good, and how the DSiware games will be.
I want to get both a DSI and a PS3. I miss having a handheld. I have a GBA SP (one of the nifty ones with the NES color scheme) that I used to play the shit of but I've beat all the games so many times and I can't find anymore good games or the Castlevania one (Aria of Sorrow and I just looked on ebay and it's got for like $35) I never played. The DSi looks great and...if I understand correctly, you can browse the internet with it.
I just want a DSLite....the DSi is kind of pointless....
Yeah, the dsi is gimmicky and pointless indeed. It even gets rid of the game boy advance slot! So, it plays 50% of the games as the ds lite. And trust me, the gba has a LOT of amazing games.
^^ agreed...plus you can download games....I mean...COME ON! ANnyone who sells their DS is a stupid gamer.

Indeed it does!! The Gamecube + Gameboy Player is one of the most amazing systems/libraries ever. |
i would say go for it. im an owner of both and i plan on getting rid of my ds. nothing on it (of the 5 games i now own) has really interested me. on the other hand, ive had the ps3 for about 5 months now and cant keep up with the amount of interesting games....mgs4 being one of them which is incredible...the playtime vs. cutscene business is blown way out of proportion...there is more than enough substance and variety in all of the areas to keep you very busy.
I dnt like many "new games"... these games that look like movies. Snore. Give me Mega Man any day of the week.
