How to tell if a ticket is a fake?
 

Today I'm buying tickets to see The Cure here tonight. People on Craigslist are getting desperate and even though I've bought tickets before, I just want to make sure: How can you tell if the ticket you're buying is a fake and invalid? Thanks.

(Obviously I'm not buying through Ticketmaster or anything like that)

if you're picking it up from the person selling it at the venue tonight (which i guess you are) then just go up to some random person in line and ask to compare it with their ticket (before paying for it obviously).

one time i bought a fake ticket, and it actually worked. that was the highlight of my night seeing as it was a shittttty killswitch engage show

generally if you get it from some bloke called dave in a pub carpark its not real.

srsly, guess there are tags/holograms simlar things on big events tickets.
In the vast majority of the venues I go to you get a paper thing with a number like when you go to the porkshop to buy some pork parts.
