Dark Night Of The Soul
the fuck
yep.
I'm listening to the stream right now. I am really looking forward to this album.
Due to a dispute with the record label EMI, the album may never be released,[1] however the book is available for sale on the official website for Dark Night of the Soul along with a blank recordable CD-R and all copies will be clearly labeled: "For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will."[5] It is currently possible to stream the whole album or individual tracks from the NPR website.[1] This streaming process has been reverse engineered, making it possible to download the individual MP3 files directly. [6] Additionally many torrent and file-sharing sites are also offering the album for download.

I love this uh, non-album. Where the Gnarls Barkely songs were bright, sweet confections of music, this is dark chocolate, licorice flavored.
The Frank Black and Iggy Pop songs are great. Very archetypel... Go out and not buy it! |
what the shit-holy-fuck-ness???

Sorry, thought everyone knew. The 12 songs are produced by DM & SH with a guest vocalist per track--David Lynch has two. Frank Black does "Angel's Harp (plucking all day on my). Iggy Pop does Pain (which could easily become a Pixies song if Kim sang "pain, pain"). They even resurrected Suzanne Vaga for a track. See that NPR link for more info. |
I approve of this non-album.
link is gone...!!! what now?!?!?
