Rock Lobster

Just so wonderful.

Blah, I'm filling out tons of online apps today as the job search goes on. AC still isn't fixed, so I have the perma-sweat going on. Blach.

How was everyone's weekend?

Rob Instigator 05.11.2009 02:33 PM

my weekend ruled all cuz the Rockets beat the LA Lakers soundly, an ass whuppin actually, and it was a joyous mother's day because of it.

NaiveMelody 05.11.2009 02:38 PM

Nice. My sis and cooked dinner for mom and the family for our Mother's Day present. Grilled lemon pepper chicken, sauteed squash and zuchinni, twice baked tatos, garlic cheese biscuits, shrimp with pinapple wrapped in bacon skewers, and red velvet cake.

My wife was away for three days for a vaginas-only week end, so i got to look after kid-o and that was great. Some great quality time with him, had lots of fun. Took lots of pics, posted some in the sonic parents thread, got told of by fucking gmku so deleted it all. Great.

Hey, no one in Scotland has air conditioning so be lucky!

Saying that, we have overcast weather for 52% of the year.

I imagine it also doesn't get quite as hot as it does here in central Alabama. This here is the deep South, son.

and greedrex....I did see the awesomely cute pics of you and little man before the privacy discussion of children got thrown out...adoreable!

greedrex 05.11.2009 04:30 PM

^^^yes but i felt soooooooooooooo guilty for disrespecting and abusing my own child's rights i could have killed myself, you know. I'm so despicable. I'm a little shit.

Rob Instigator 05.11.2009 04:40 PM

in the USA children have no rights, until they become voting age.
what they ahve is PERMISSION, from their parents.

By the way,
this is the one song in the world, that would make it a much much better and different place if this song had never existed.

True.

It's weird, my favourite weather is when it's overcast but not wet. Most people here absolutely cherish the sun when we have it, I hate it.

erm, apparently yes.

NaiveMelody 05.11.2009 06:34 PM

hmmmm.....interesting.

demonrail666 05.11.2009 06:49 PM

The whole fiasco about rights for kids annoys me almost as much as parents taking them to the pub with them.

NaiveMelody 05.11.2009 07:19 PM

thumbs up

PAULYBEE2656 05.12.2009 09:35 AM

its illegal to have under 18s in a pub in ireland after 9pm...before that its ok. i mean nice pub lunch with a couple of pints with the family is great but yeah, having the kids there with their ds or whatever whilst daddy and mammy gets paralitic is criminal at least!!!

kids rights are ok and fine if you are a responsible parent then those arguements wont come into it,..the rights are there to protectthe kids from the fucking assholes who abuse and neglect their children... yknow you need a licence to drive, you need a licence to have a dog...you dont need anything to have children..... its sad.

floatingslowly 05.12.2009 10:00 AM

speaking of kids in "the pub"...

last night, I learned that it's illegal for a bartender in oklahoma to refuse service to a pregnant lady, just because she's pregnant.

you have to get her drunk and then cut her off.

refusing to serve her will get you a fine and a discrimination law suit.

true story.

NaiveMelody 05.12.2009 10:02 AM

Hmm...but couldn't that technically be serving to a minor too?

davenotdead 05.12.2009 10:15 AM

if anyone ever calls me

"jorge" i just might lose it
