or is it my isp? either way, stuck behind the chinese wall. hmmm... |
You're wrong. Macs don't have problems.
|
everytime i use my ichat/aim, my network goes down... no joke.
|
What do you use for email?
Is it that .mac/MobileMe shit? |
yeah, that .mac shit is what is terrible.

ha ha of course. and the moon is made of cheese. |
What does it say?
Maybe you should do first aid with Disk Utility. Click 'Repair disk permissions', wait till it's done and then restart you computer. Could be a bug. |
all is well. it suddenly and unexpectedly started cracking again yesterday evening, after i failed to change the default port (somewhere, it was) from 25 to 2525. don't ask...
my old little toshiba running xp pro is DA MAN tho. ugly interface yeah, but the bitch is R-E-L-I-A-B-L-E. pop any interactive dvd into it and it plays. I FUCKING LOVE WINDOWS. ha ha haha. never thought i'd say that. from now on i'm staying firmly poly-OS. you never know when you need what from where. just saying. |
Oh !@#$%!, I never thought I'd hear you say that. WINDOWS ISN'T THE BOMB. Mac is. But that .Mac stuff does indeed stuff. Hmm, can you send mail through Gmail or is it just through a mail client?
A the web design company I work at, my boss PERSISTS in using IE7 as a default browser...totally unacceptable. He says his clients are surprised he doesn't use a mac. |

I'm not happy with Mac, at the moment, either. Fucking update your graphics drivers, you cunts!

so it turns out comcast (isp in the house i'm staying) blocks port 25 for send mail.
so i had to change ports. thing is, it's not so evident how to change the port for the outgoing mail server. the option is there, but it's a bit hidden and i was more than slightly *cough* intoxicated. you can't change the port in the server settings. you have to wait for the program to report the fuckup, edit server, go advanced, and there, and only there, you can change the port. the other method (google it) involves entering a long fuckwad of a string into the terminal window. ah, good times. |
