I used to be into that stuff when I was about 13. I never really collected a specific army; I just got what captured my imagination. Me and a couple friends used to play a version of the game in which none of us had anything close to a proper understanding of the rules.

I had a pretty extensive army and so did most of my friends. we would get high and play all night. being the tactical genius I am, I won often.

except that one night back in '88...

steve the milkman had a new bloodthirster and it had some sort of bullshit saving throws against heavy bolters.

without psychics I lost, but I played to the last man.

the next day I stole myself a Librarian and never lost again.
