you just missed being rickroll'd.

demonrail666 07.01.2009 08:11 AM

Yeah, Moving Shadow was an amazing label. Rob Playford never got the respect he deserved. Moving Shadow, Reinforced and Metalheadz were probably the only DnB labels i'd buy anything on.

This is still probably my favourite DnB tune of all time.

I have about 300 jungle records from between 1992-1996 (mainly moving shadow, formation and suburban base records) after 96 i lost interest. I find drum and bass boring now.

R.I.P

So weird to see this thread, I was talking about Jungle with a German friend this morning. He was telling me that that it's still very popular there, and is often mixed with other influences, which I will check out, at one point. It's also weird to see Moving Shadow mentioned, 'cause once upon a time Rob Palyford used to party at a friend of mine's house, and he's an all round nice person. Anyone remembers Witchman and EZ Rollers?

I was just mentioning a few days ago that I really wish I had more jungle. the problem is finding GOOD stuff. it can be really spotty at times.

after going to wiki to see about EZ Rollers, I see that they are considered drum & bass, which I've been told (about 15 years ago), is the successor to jungle and from what I've heard, I don't like d&b as much as I like jungle.

it strikes me as being almost the same, but without the dancehall samples/vocals (which is the part I like).

I'm up for suggestions on GOOD jungle with LOTS of dancehall riddims-iyah, if anyone has them.

i must say, i'm pretty disappointed this thread isn't about

EZ Rollers remain my favourite DnB, can't top that cool Moving Shadow sound, all upright basses and vintage organs.
