I can't figure out why I like his art so much but I do.

Also a big fan of Serrano Andres, who is'nt a painter but is definitely an artist.

Definitely. I think that's part of the reason why the game is called ICO as well (chirICO).

Sadly, I have U.S. edition which has the ugliest cover ever.

Oh yes the US edition is horrible. My brother has the good cover, great packaging too. As is "Shadow of the Colossus" (from the same creator)

VIDEO GAME AS AN ART !

My second favorite artist ever (and the one that most influences my art, personally) is probably Ad Reinhardt:

My favorite artists are the ones who are bold, abstract, but still only focus on a few elements ("minimalism" I guess) and have a touch of the surreal.

I really don't like stuff like Anne Truitt, which has the elements I listed above but doesn't do anything for me. Oh man, a BOX! Fuck that.
