I don't pay attention to lyrics (since they're almost always shit, in any band), unless they're produced by true poets like Don Van Vliet, Sterling Smith, or Mark E. Smith. Maybe another reason I like listening to Japanese music... don't have to focus so much on the awful lyrics. (though, I've read some translations and guess what? Japanese bands really like to talk about the sexual politics of seducing 13 year old schoolgirls with opium!)
