Okay, I'm not on ecstasy or anything, I'm not in love with the world at the moment, but I just had a thought, while getting a PM from Anngella... this really is a great forum. Yeah, it has its dull stretches, but most forums do. I grow bored with it -- I love it, I hate it, whatever. But almost everyone here is helpful, everyone is interesting, and I like the fact that there are so many people into so many different things on here. I like the fact that you can mention Luc Godard and Lady Gaga and get an equal amount of responses. Most of all, I really like the art thread, some of you guys are so talented.

It feels good to be surrounded by lots of talented, smart, (often) open-minded people.. I've posted on many other forums and this is the only one where I feel like I actually belong, in a way. I have met so many cool people here. So, yeah, even though it occasionally gets boring, and annoying, I've been posting here, and the old message board, for nearly 10 years of my life (!). Even though it's "just a message board", it has taken a more than a few hours's worth of my life and time to post here, and that's kinda crazy to think about.

I don't know where I'm going with this.

I agree with everything you said. I've been on lots of forums in the past 7 or so years, but this is the only one I keep coming back to.

I made a pumpkin syrup spice cake today. This post sounds as though it requires some cake devouring.

I like that I can have interesting discussions about hip hop on here, which never worked out for me on hip hop forums.

Yep, it's a fine place most of the time and the posters I've actually met in real life were all very nice and fun to hang out with.

I often find myself asking this very question..

I very much enjoy this forum. I used to be on a lot of forums in the past years but they all died out, and only SYG not only survives, but keeps expanding and thriving. Everyday you people out there surprise me with your empathy, insight, openmindedness, and especially the humor. This is perhaps the most sarcastic place in the world.

I joke. And sometimes I get pissed off and stay away for a while. But this is the only forum I like for just whatever. I only contribute to one other forum, but it's strictly talking about video game collecting. It's not really the kind of weird family vibe we have here.

I got an enemies list that I think wouldn't be too controversial but, disregarding the undesirables, the place remains fantastic. It usually does when people get enthused about it.
