I want to see a website where there is virtual instruments you can play, and it's nearly as authentic as playing the real thing. Sure there are fruity loops plugins that do that, but a flash-based website where you can choose every effect, every tone.. choose a jazzmaster, whatever.. you can play the strings, choose where you place your fingers, and perfectly sequence it online.

there is the iphone app that can pick up lots of tunes, not everything though. I've been in some places where it has managed to name obscure covers. I'm not sure if the database relies on what is available on itunes, or just whether itunes knows it was released..or if it is completely unrelated.

I dont know if you can just sing into it though.. never tried..

probably possible but the download and processing power required I'd think would be way too massive for most pc's.. if it was all flash based. Maybe in a couple more years.?

there are primitive websites like that already so probably what you want will exist in 10 years or so.

as long as you don't put any metallica in there..

you can google image by basic colour so kind of.. but I'd love it to be more interactive too. As in you could upload something and it matches to similar.. or 'draw' something and it matches to similar. More colour choices etc.
