Just got into this band recently. The record they made with Boris is great. The Monoliths and Dimensions record though is unlistenable cliched crap in my opinion, in spite of the clever clever guest appearances.

I'm surprised Stephen O'Malley is so articulate, when he tried to chat me up at ATP he could barely string a sentence together.

I do admire the packaging and graphics of Southern Lord releases and always feel wrong if I buy a cd instead of vinyl.

It's funny that O'malleys personal work's generally quite splintered and hectic as opposed to his music, which is rather static.

I saw SunnO))) in Helsinki in january and it was, as expected, quite something. Not violently crushing heavy, but still pretty physical. Loudest thing I've seen, not so surprisingly.

Khanate's record last year was amazing.
