Aside from the constant moaning, the song is total shit. But I'll be damned if this isn't one of the coolest pop videos that I've ever seen. And why shouldn't it be? Lady gaga is in it!

i can't watch the clip but if that's the 'Telephone' track, then I agree. Great video, forgettable song.

Uh, what was good about it? Great outfits and makeup but dancing and editing was generic and lame.

**Update: MTV has debunked CNN’s story that the Gaga/Beyoncé video was banned by the network.
Not sure how this fits in with Operation Push Generation X Out, but MTV has found something more offensive than Jersey Shore: According to a CNN report (via Gawker), Moot (formerly Music) Television has banned Lady Gaga and Beyoncé’s new over-the-top video to the song “Telephone.”
The biggest question, though, is not “What is so newly-offensive about scantily-clad pop stars in videos?” or “When did Beyoncé become ‘edgy’?” but “How can a network that doesn’t even play music videos ban a music video?”
I’ll answer all three of those with a real question: who cares?
CNN cares, I guess, as well as a couple dozen other relevant sources that will report on this in the next 24 hours. Just wanted to chime in before the faux hoopla sets in. Oh, and here is the now-banned product placement extravaganza.

That dude is waaaaay to desperate to historicize this chick. Fact is, she doesn't have the songs. And why bother rehashing early 70's glam comparisons? Just because she name-drops them in interviews doesn't mean we should even bother.

gaga's hot, I love short chicks with big asses. Beyonce is nasty as hell. That video is kinda crazy.

im not just saying this for some kind of fatuous indie cred, but this is the first time ive ever listened to a Lady Gaga song... and its balls.

The video however, is quality. Lots of nice film references and general hamming it up.

and this is why we can forgive her for her (mostly) bland synthpop, yeah?
