I take the silver wire from a small binder clip, straighten it with some pliers, and use that. or a bobby pin, or a paper clip.

you know your a pot head if you smoke resin.....clothes hagers work the best. My husband makes a great "poker" out of them with some wire cutters.

as a last resort i used to smoke the resin from my pipe/bong but i don't get that desperste anymore.
