Thank God, I thought this thread was gonna be about those reactionary blowhards claiming to be working in the same spirit as the colonists who revolted against the British Empire in the late 1770s/early 1780s...

But then I remembered you're an Aussie chick, phoenix, so I guess you don't have to suffer that bullshit-unless somehow they overthrow the government and threaten every other country on Earth that won't become the 51st (52nd, 53rd) state with nuclear annihilation...

phoenix 04.01.2010 11:55 PM

it is just about flights of fancy and tea and cake. :)

phoenix 04.02.2010 06:29 PM

yay!

The kitten one is cute and the doll one is creepy in the most awesome way. I like that they are serving up other dolls heads.

Pookie 04.02.2010 06:49 PM

The kitten one is one of Walter Potter's anthropomorphic dioramas. The dolls one is a still from Jan Svankmajer's short film Jabberwocky.

I was lucky enough to see the Walter Potter exhibition at Jamaica Inn before it was all sold:(.

floatingslowly 04.02.2010 09:06 PM

I wonder how he got the kittens to sit so still?
