help (with vinyl)
 

K. I bought the EVOL reissue on Record Store Day and I've only played it once. I noticed that every time it rotated once at one spot it would kind of like fuzz up or somethin'. It does it for every song on the LP and my record player also does not do this with any other record.

Help would be very appreciated.

I thought this was going to be about vinyl bodysuits.

try cleaning it with a carbon fiber brush.

buy better albums, new ones, not reissues of the same old crap from the 80's

EVOL, quite simply, you should return it for an exchange or your money back. It sounds like you got a bad pressing, and nothing you do (cleaning, etc.) will change it.

A reputable record store will oblige.

Yep, That sounds like an issu with the pressing.
if the vinyl did not properly enter the press mold it may cause such a distortion.

problem is that record store day stuff is probably not exchangeable.

oh god gmku...you serisouly just broke my heart. I was really hoping I would be able to listen to this album in the best way possible...but appears I can't.

he could maybe take it back for store credit but they are not gonna have extra record store day pink vinyls of evol laying around.

yeah and fuck store credit. I'm keepin' this beyotch. The locked groove part kind of sounds cooler....heh.

ps. It was also the last one they had....the only one I found after 5 stores...

maybe you should just ebay it for a bit less than other people are selling the better copies, that should cover most of the cost of getting a clean copy

I just looked and they're goin' for 40 bucks....man. I'd be making money buahaha..but I don't know if I want to go through that trouble. Maybe I could just dish out some money for a blast first re-issue or something.
