lowly worm. fucking a. |
depends.....
for strumming out lushious tones - the Fender. for smashing on stage and swinging the dangling body around by the few strings left on the cracked neck - the Eastwood. really just a matter of personal goals |
Buy a Di Pinto!

The White One

Jazz all the way.

But I really...really like the body of that dual tone...super nice. |
The dual tone was pretty nice, but after playing that jazzmaster again, I realized...this thread is stupid...
haha. I play clean alot, with spring reverb, but do the typical pixies/nirvana overdrive switch... I actually wouldnt use the jazzmaster to do the typical MBV/indie/shoegaze sound, when I overdrive I just like a slight bite to my clean...a nice boost. Jazzmaster still works well for that. I do lots of punchy, jazzy chords etc. and my strat is pretty rad for a strat, which I'm keeping, but my les paul sucks. The guy before me who owned it put those retarded EMGS |
fender = workhorse
|
try them both and see what you think. when i see people playing jazzmasters and stuff i always think they are rich.
|
Neither one would work for me. The Jazzmaster has singles (I need humbuckers), and the Eastwood looks like it has terrible access beyond the 17th fret.
If I wanted a Fender, I'd go for Jaguar Special and if I wanted an Eastwood, I'd go for their Ultra GP reissue (supposedly a limited edition that's been around 5 years now). |
