Cameron can't be all bad...

If he appologized for Bloody Sunday.

I don't know anything about him--haven't been following what's going on across the pond but that seems good.

Pookie 06.15.2010 05:21 PM

He didn't have any choice after the findings of the enquiry.

And yes he is all bad.

the song?

akprodr 06.15.2010 06:41 PM

the inspiration for the song

knox 06.15.2010 06:45 PM

well, then
he's still just as bad.

ni'k 06.15.2010 06:45 PM

i'll be in shortly.

RanaldoNecro 06.15.2010 07:26 PM

I suppose this is good news. But people always change history from a safe distance.

Don't bother spending your whole life fighting for something, history just erases it when it becomes out of vogue.

pokkeherrie 06.15.2010 07:33 PM

So he apologised for Bloody Sunday but denies responsibility for Blue Monday and Ruby Tuesday?

ni'k 06.15.2010 11:23 PM

I want you to think of that great quotation that it's not the politician that brings the right to vote, it is the soldier; it is not the poet that brings free speech, it is the soldier; it is not the journalist that brings free expression, it is the soldier. So I want you to help me create a new atmosphere in our country, an atmosphere where we back and revere and support our military.

yeah. no hypocrisy there.

so he admits about 30 years later that soldiers murdering catholics simply because they felt like it was wrong, but he has no problem with what the troops are doing now in afghanistan? no, those murderers are all heroes! that makes him "not all bad?".

no.

he wants a "smaller more efficient state". he wants to privatise and cut public spending. he's a neo liberal actor/manager whose going to smile and do the pr as he shifts the price of the recession onto the backs of the poor, who will have to pay for it. and at the same time he blames us for being "irresponsible" and not "contributing" but just "taking" from society.

its free market capitalism/neo liberalism that have created the nightmarish poverty and isolated consumer self interest as relegion that multi millionaire tories profit off and now try to blame on some sort of moral failing of the poor.

I noticed the Labour government never apologised for Bloody Sunday. But then the cunts never apologised for anything.

OK, I'll grant you this as an aberation. But he didn't have to appologize--for some, the acknowledgement would have been enough.

Wouldn't find Bush apologizing for anything.

"He's not as bad as Bush" doesn't really cut it for me.

Precisely.

batreleaser 06.16.2010 11:37 AM

I was mildly impressed with what seemed to be sincerity. Mildly, at best.

to be fair they could have apologised because they are the acting government. tony blair apologised to the guildford four and he wasnt in power then either.
