im doing three essays tonight for school. all three are for three different books i never read. i am tired as hell but i got to finish these fucking things. im on my second one and having trouble. just need to keep thinking clearly. stay awake.

its summer work for advanced placement english.

I have 28 5 hour days of chemistry. I can't believe I'm doing it by choice.

Also, I have summer homework for the classes that I am doing next year.

I have to read 3 books too! A Seperate Peace, The Good Earth, and Silas Marner. They all are pretty crappy so far (haven't read any of Silas, yet). I don't have to write essays though. I have to take 10 quotes from each book and comment on each one.

i have ap chem summerwork to do too

I can't take that yet. I don't know when I am eligable either.

i have to take a quote from each one and describe its style in an essay, and then write a 5 paragraph essay about 2 of them.

how did you end up in this situation?

When I first was invited to take the GATE test (gifted and talented education) in 4th, I didn't want to go. My mom did, and said 'Don't you want to see if you would pass?'. Curious, I decided to go. When I passed, she forced me into it. I technically joined in 5th grade, but stayed in the same classes because I didn't want to leave my friends. When 6th grade rolled around, I was put into all the H classes and have been there ever since.

well, it was actually a premeditated decision by me. I figure your 11th and 12th years in high school really decide where you go in life so I wanted to put myself in the best possible situation. My family also is worried about paying for my college tuition so Im taking classes like AP english and AP chemistry that are college level to get college credits for classes so I dont have to take them in college and waste money on them. I dont get really good grades in school so I also need some weighted courses to up my gpa....

It really doesn't.....sure it can spring board you to have better opportunities to go to a good school, but life is always what you make out of it no matter how old you are/where you are at in yr fucked up journey (as cliche as it is). I graduated high school with a 4.0 and all that shit and got a degree.....I still haven't been able to find a job that pays over 30 K let alone one that I enjoy. Who knows man.....but yeah, studying/getting good grades is sure as hell better than not doing it. Especially today where a Bachelors degree is becoming the new high school diploma.

I've stayed up all night quite a few times to do coursework. The night time is the only time I can actually work. Basically drink shit loads of coffee, like 5 teaspoons in one coffee. The next day is always pretty weird when you go into college/school having had no sleep.
