"Michael Been, lead singer for The Call, died Thursday of a heart attack while doing sound for his son at a Belgian rock festival. His son is Levon Been of Black rebel Motorcycle Club."

He's not the only one to die at this festival (Pukkelpop) this year, the leader of Où Est Le Swimming Pool killed himself on a parking lot near the festival after his band's performance.

He was the guy with the big moppy hairdo? I remember their one MTV hit, "The Walls Came Down" came at a time when U2 New Years Day and Dexies Midnight Runners Cmon Eileen were big, they all that same big bland newwavey stadium sound.

Been was in HP Lovecraft, one of those classic psych bands you might hear about but never hear.

I used to have that HP Lovecraft album. Good keyboards. RIP.
