Demon Entrails isn't really a proper album, more a collection of demos, EPs and other stuff by Hellhammer. Either way, this compilation is exactly what metal should sound like but almost never does. Seriously, if you haven't already, just get this album. I mean, fucking hell!!!!!. (They looked absolutely amazing, too).

It has been a very long time indeed since I listened to Hellhammer. They were the soundtrack to getting stoned when I was, ooh, 17 or so. I'm pretty sure they were playing the first time I saw someone banging up as well. Funny how memories work, innit?

I highly, HIGHLY recommend seeing Thomas' new band Triptykon if you get the chance.

I saw them a few weeks ago and it was nothing short of inspirational in its darkness, heaviness and imagination.
