How many alcoholics do you know?
 

I know five. Three of them has been in rehab. One is still in rehab. One of them has been in and out of mental health hospital. Crazy, eh? :)

quite a few, myself included, my immediate family, some are bar hoppers, i am the only one that drinks and stews

personally i know two. i work with addicts so at work everyone is so lots.

One of my supervisors was; he was pissed at work, yet strangers would not notice it when he showed them around. He died three years ago, he was not even 55.

One of my best friends used to be an alcoholic; he ain't no more; too many parties, bottles of strong alcohol for ceremonies in his office at the cinema he managed at the time. Used to wake up in a seat in front of the big screen, at the sound of the cleaning lady's vacuum cleaner. He's over with it, but says he has to keep drinking wine to make the loss less cruel.

And some Tottenham fans, obviously.

I met one of the alcoholics I know yesterday and he told me he went to see the doctor who told him he had 6 months to a year left to live if he continued drinking. His liver is twice the size it should be. He's only 22-years-old.
