HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 10:58 AM

I'd light the cd on fire and completely forget about her.

nicfit 09.01.2006 11:00 AM

so,you "londoners" and so on,any other name worth checking? maybe shytsie (sp)?actually i do not know why,but i can only imagine music like that with a feminine "vocalist",but i assume there are male emcees too...aaay?

Lethal Bizzle next.

porkmarras 09.01.2006 11:06 AM

I assume that you are familiar with Dizzie Rascal already.

cellscape 09.01.2006 11:11 AM

I liked the album a lot at first. It seemed fun and had a unique blend of influences and beats from Grime to Dance Hall to Brazilian street etc. But for some reason it's luster wore off fairly quickly. And I don't think that had do do with her opening for Gwen Stephani. I'd still hit it though. Both of them actually.

wax 09.01.2006 11:43 AM

yeah, know dizzie rascal.
im more interested in female vocalists though.

Iain 09.01.2006 11:56 AM

Yeah, the appeal of the MIA album wore off quite quick for me as well and some songs became just plain annoying. Lady Sovs appeal lasted longer though but she's taken way too long to put out the album (still not out yet right?)

wax 09.01.2006 12:02 PM

oct 6th i just read.
as i say, i just got into this today, so i cant tell how long it might carry on sounding good.
anymore names to throw in?

I have that Galang song on the computer, it's annoying now but fun to listen to everynow and then. Same with Lady Sovergien, they get old really quick. Does anyone know who the 3 british girl rappers who they were comparing to the beastie boys?
