Django, yes indeed! I wouldn't bother with the official (and many unofficial) sequel/s, but the film Django itself deserves much love.

You guys ever see a mule for sister sarah? Terribly tacky and cheesy, but for some reason I sort of liked it.

Most spaghetti westerns are not about cowboys and do not refer to the characters as cowboys- but outlaws, bandits, gunmen, bounty hunters, mercenaries, etc.

Il Grande Silenzio is the best non-Leone SW.

The ending was so shocking & so un-Hollywood I think it was never shown in America or the UK until relatively recently.

I love the landscapes etc in westerns, but most seem to drag on and on. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, for example.
