No Child Left Behind?

I was talking about this today and was curious for some other opinions.
I think it's shit. Every man for himself, I say.

Yeah, it's crap. I almost failed 8th grade because of it

No Child Left Behind is one of the worst ideas ever. It keeps kids who aren't up to the other kids standards in a class with their 'peers'. However, the victims of NCLB are definitely us other kids. We have to wait for teachers to get around to going ahead because they are teaching the basics. I hate it. Fuck that rule.

Exactly, the kids who want to learn should be seperated from the other kids, and actually taught. School is really boring. There's no stimulation at all.

That second cartoon is pretty funny Kegmama.

In Orwellian terms, the "No Child Left Behind" Act is a prime example of Doubleplusgood Duckspeak.

A good portion of American high school students cannot locate India, Japan or even the Pacific Ocean on a world map!

Cantankerous 09.10.2006 02:05 PM

even though all of those places are labeled?
that is crazy.
i am not referring to the map above.

atari 2600 09.10.2006 02:39 PM

...on an unlabelled world map, I would suppose. My bad, I left out the modifier.
