They can be bad, although with reference to Manchester, the ones at Victoria train station are Victorian marble affairs with original mosaics - very nice. The Tate Gallery's in Liverpool are nice too.

On the whole though they are nasty unpleasant places.

The Tate Gallery has the best hotdogs.

The open sandwiches, with porcini mushrooms and goat's cheese, are a delight. As are the apple muffins. And the coffee.

people always walk into my stall even when i've locked it. i don't know how they do it...

Danny Himself 09.10.2006 06:06 PM

It's a shame, because most of the art in there is pretentious shite. I love those circle chairs though.

Yikes.

touch me i'm sick 09.10.2006 06:07 PM

yeah sometimes they stay in there to apologize, and you jsut want them to get the fuck out.

Danny Himself 09.10.2006 06:08 PM

Ahahaha. I've never experienced that...

Hip Priest 09.10.2006 06:10 PM

I don't really see the point of those blue fluorescent lights they have in many of them.

k-krack 09.10.2006 06:10 PM

i hate when people disregard "the rule". ie, there are three urinals, 1 2 3. you are at 3, no one is at 1 or 2. and they choose two. not cool. not at all. totally uncomfortable.

Hip Priest 09.10.2006 06:11 PM

There are certain privacy issues which one should respect.

I was using the facilities at the Museum of Transport in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, yesterday. They were OK.

Danny Himself 09.10.2006 06:13 PM

I hate those really low kids urinals. Those are hard to pee into when theres other people around, and you kinda have to hunch over the urinal, spreading your legs. It must look weird.

k-krack 09.10.2006 06:13 PM

i try to avoid them as much as possible, though.

i hate those, but i hate even more the ones that stick out like, a foot and they are a tad too high, so you gotta either stad back and expose yrelf, or try to get yrself up and over (usually means touching).

The ones in the Odeon on London Road, Liverpool, are pretty nice.

Hip Priest 09.10.2006 06:14 PM

The ones at Manchester Piccadilly station require the outlay of 20p per visit (30 - 40 cents!).

k-krack 09.10.2006 06:17 PM

?!?! pay to pee?!

Hip Priest 09.10.2006 06:18 PM

Yep. Scandalous.

It does keep out the riff-raff though, I have to admit.
