god! i haven't heard a mention of ymo for like ten years.

Either powers that be decided that it should happen or it's plain coincidence that last night i was reading an article on the Sunday Times culture supplement that quite rightly trashed YMO like it is the right thing to do.

I'm even bothered by the idea of them existing wich is rare.

ryuchi sakamoto is intriguing, it's been more than ten years since i've heard ymo so i can't really comment, i haven't followed rs either.

they're one of the best things ever!


i prefer harry hosono's solo werk to sakamoto's though.

Rubbish of the worst kind.The very exsistence of wich still puzzles me.

well their later stuff was pretty bad, but their early stuff is the sound of pure unfettered electronic joy.

i can't understand why the sunday times would write an article so many years after the fact about how they were bad

The whole idea of them existing is annoying enough.I don't like the idea of such musicians even thinking that they have a right to be heard.Part of the problem if you ask me.

One of those bands i can genuinely say are rubbish.In all respect.

how can you hold such animosity towards them? and what's this stuff about having a right to be heard?
