Fireworks on "ITK#19"
 

Having kind of a brain fart here. I hate that expression, but I don't know what else to call it. I'm forgetting something that I know I know, or messing it up somehow...

Anyway I was listening to "In the Kingdom #19" today and.... well...
Isn't the story (via GB20th) that Thurston threw some firecrackers in the studio and scared the shit out of Lee, and that they recorded the funny scream?

Well... why does he scream before the firecrackers crack?

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, or missing something obvious. But it's one of those days.

I just think he got scred when he saw him throwing some flaming things in the recording booth or wathever that was, but then the crackling stuff was not that scary.
Like when your girlfriend sees a spider.

Wasn't Lee supposedly super pissed off about that? He sounds somewhat irked anyway.

They might have recorded the scream and then cut and pasted it in the mix. I doubt it was a natural take.

The scream would sound more authentic.

If I was Lee in that scenario I'd be like "Fuck sake Thurston, man, whit's the script?" and he'd be all "Sorry bud," and I'd be all like "Nae worries, big yin."
