Sonic Drum Machines?
 

Does anybody know if Sonic Youth have ever used any drum machines?

How about during the making of 'The Whitey Album?'

If so, do you know what sort?

I'm lookin' for a virtual drum machine to download and I ain't sure of which one to go for. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

You can download (for free) the initial software and then there's many other machine types that can be added on.

Fruity Loops is a very decent computer drum program. you can find samples of it at download.com I think.

"Macbeth" has a fucking great drum beat in it.

And what about Third Fig ?

I was going to suggest taking a look at Chris Lawrence' gearography, but sadly it only lists guitars and basses.

hey, i have some pretty cool pix of steve's kit from this tour! (and some fairly detailed info on his older gear, i thought..)

but yeah, would be cool. and yeah, of course they used drum machines, all over the whitey album.
