Satch wastes all competition...
|
Please never say "Satch" around me ever again.
Anyway, I thought the Nitro guy was your guitar man-crush. |
I hope everybody votes Chuck Schuldiner. Death was such a well thought out band.
|
joe satriani is my favorite shredder, i'm almost not joking.
schuldiner is in there? then that's your man, even thought symbolic was a dump of shit, but he's a guitar man alright. |
I didn't think symbolic was that bad. I really like Human and what i've heard from spiritual healing.
|
they mention some very good guitar players and many that are far from shredders (angus young?!)

i practically bought it the day it came out and i thought it was boring as all hell i've tried to listen to it three times and can't manage to listen to it all the way, it almost ruined death for me. |

I didn't even think of Michaelangelo...shit I gotta whip out my Nitro Hot Wet Drippin' With Sweat cd and crank the fucker. "Johnny Died on Christmas, Johnny Died on Christmas, Johnny Died..." I was gonna offer that one on yousendit sometime. You need it, Mr. Clone. |
Excellent list. I liked that I had to look up a couple of names. Michaelangelo does my head in, which is weird given I can suffer the rest of the list... it's that fucking double-necked guitar... what a prick. Again, I realise they're all pricks in some ways... Yngwie particularly. And I noticed, by watching some youtubes, that they all have horrific techniques (thumbs all over the place). I'm still going with Yngwie. Although my current fave 'straight' guitarist if Franco [Luambo Makaidi].

Ha! No sign of Steve Vai.
|
Mick Thomson.
|
this poll, with those pics should be best haircut.
|
I remember hearing Rusty Cooley a bit ago. My god, what tasteless crap that was! At least with Death there was something to it.
