The article blunderbuss posted back in 2012, information provided by, Arvo Zylo, mentions Chicago based noise Ensemble, Burden Of Friendship.
Burden Of Friendship - The Head Of Your Goat / The Son Of Your Dog......recorded at WZRD and WNUR in 1985, re-released in 2019 I’ve become obsessed with Arvo Zylo since I discovered him via his Heavenly Sounds In lo-fidelity — Arvo Plays Ferrante & Teicher. Since then, I’ve spent a good deal of time and money building my Arvo Zylo collection. |

So far in 2019, on the 13th Of each month Arvo Zylo releases a new interview......with today being Friday the 13th, Arvo talks with the Chicago based Avant-gospel outfit -ONO- led by P. Michael Grego

Arvo Zylo has a new album out:
“The first two tracks on CIVIL WAR are some of the most disturbing sounds ever heard. If a paranormal investigation produced these recordings, the ensuing fear of an alternate reality or after life would cause growing mass panic.“ Blood Rhythms - Civil War ![]() |

Toward the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, I became more aware regarding the work of Blake Edwards. Blake runs the label, Ballast and performs as Vertonen. Most of the Ballast releases are in limited runs that are usually sold out before they are released. The latest release is: Drowning Machines
![]() Drowning Machines is a 2xCDR release about drowning that comes with a descriptive book. Many of Blake’s releases are 3” CDR and all come with elaborate packaging......anyone else listening to Blake’s music? The Arvo Zylo 13th interview series featured Blake Edwards last month: ![]() Quote:

Seriously......who else is doing leather bound snap boxes of “112 ideas to get you thinking / unblock creative processes” cards for 3” CDR:
“Of course, dead edits also creates audio, so enclosed with (technically sandwiched between) the boxes is a 3” CDR, the audio upon which is a tri-layered recording of me typesetting the Opaque Staggeries in Quark 4.0 on an iBook G3 while one of Eric’s “opycay” devices recorded and played back intermittently, a microcassette recorder recorded and played back intermittently, and a microcassette with audio from Eric played back intermittently; the 60-ish minute process was captured on a zoom recorder (non-intermittently) and then layered to create the final product.” Dead Edits - Opaque Staggeries ![]() |
