Shaking Hell
 

I made a mixtape for the singer of our band that had "Protect Me You" on it, and I guess he really liked that song and listened to the rest of Confusion Is Sex. Now he wants to cover "Shaking Hell", but the thing is, all we've got right now are three guys playing guitar, and two out of three of them play rather softly most of the time (I'm the loud guy)...I think I might have figured something out, but do you guys think it's possible?

it could be possible, but I think the essence of that song is that it is a woman singing the song, and I think it would be lost if a guy sings it instead of a girl. That's just my opinion, but give it a try though.

do a completely different version of it. make it your own.

Yeah, dont try and cover it exactly like SY does it. Do your own thing with it. Experiment a little bit, and make sure you post a link to an mp3 of it when youre done!

i wouldnt cover it. whenever i see cover songs from bands i dont like it. but thats just me.

as long as you do your own version and try not to sound too much like the original then its ok.
