Katie KA-BOOM!!

When you have a argument/disagreement with your Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Friend/Father/Mother/Sister/Brother/can you see where i'm going with this....

are you the person that maintains calm and rational thinking or, like me are you the person that goes all Ninja.. i.e roaring and screamin like a madman because after all you are in the right?

Alex's Trip 11.11.2006 11:24 AM

I get frustrated and lock myself up in my room. But everyone once in a while, I'll be really angry. I won't yell at my parents, but at my sister yes.

Katie KaBoom, from the animaniacs, no?

ni'k 11.11.2006 11:48 AM

both at the same time

nomadicfollower 11.11.2006 11:54 AM

I get really mad, but I never really show it.

blue sunlover 11.11.2006 11:55 AM

oops.ok try to calm down, but you know the penis-tread!

Gulasch Noir 11.11.2006 11:57 AM

It depends, but in most cases I am the one, who disputes by means of (does this sound antiquated? i hope so!) rational arguments. This way, it doesn't lead to escalation, which I try to avoid, when disputing with people I actually like. If I have an argument with people I don't like, I also try to stay cool, cause I don't want them to believe, that they have any influence on me.

this is a good point.

jon boy 11.11.2006 12:06 PM

generally i am both. i very rarely blow up or lose my temper. exept with my family who all shout at eachother pretty much all the time. but even then i dont like to raise my voice.

i tend to be very quiet in arguments.

blue sunlover 11.11.2006 12:38 PM

most times i think that my point of vue is the better.i want them to take my point of vue,but it doesn t work, and when it works they make me think it was their own idea.argueing excits me so i raise my voice and speak quickly.then people get mad and lose their heads.they end up saying something that hurts me deeply. i annoyed them and i feel sad and guilty.i guess good communication isnt one of my talents.

That is the reason I was going to give. I never shout at anyone, because after the thing is over I don't want them to think that they had any influence over me, or that I acted unreasonably. I find the best thing is to be able to remind people, when things have calmed down, that I acted with rationality and dignity. Deflects blame nicely.

I'd also say that if someone is being narky at me for (as I see it) no good reason, I'll give the impression that I'm becoming increasingly amused at their antics.

scott v 11.11.2006 01:33 PM

uh...

this all doesn't make any logical sense to me, does this need to be a poll?

!@#$%! 11.11.2006 01:35 PM

i'm neither, or both

what i mean is that i am very hotheaded & can get loud & impatient fast, but i don't lose my rationality-- does that make sense? you can feel strongly about something and remain a thinking being.

i cannot imagine you angry at all hip priest.

Пятхъдесят Шест 11.11.2006 01:37 PM

Well, for the most part I can control my anger, and sometimes this puts me at a disadvantage and I get a lot of grief for being a pacifist. I believe our friend Atari used the word milquetoast to describe me, and he was pretty much dead on.

However, this is subject to change if I've been drinking all night.

Hip Priest 11.11.2006 01:39 PM

Thank you jon boy.

!@#$%! 11.11.2006 01:39 PM

i could not act like hip priest. the bottled up anger would kill me. i'm in favor of lashing out quickly & effectively... :D

Spaz!

Everyneurotic 11.11.2006 01:40 PM

for the most part, i'm calm; unless i feel i've been wronged.

Hip Priest 11.11.2006 01:41 PM

There is a part of being calm and collected that can make you feel quite smug and superior. It winds people up wonderfully.
