i dont beleive that story....protesters ALWAYS exaggerate claims of abuse by police when they are getting arrested, have you EVER read a quote from a protester who says the police treated us professionally and politely?? NEVER NEVER NEVER

protesters protest to make themsleves visible, the more publicity the better, thats why none have ever not claimed police brutality

Well it's certainly not nice, but I don't know the whole story. A less exaggerated version might be a way to treat people who sit in the middle of an intersection depending on the situation.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but two reasons for that could be that i) Who wants to hear about the times they were treated as human beings? ii) The occasions of that happening are very few and far-between.
