Delia Darbyshire / Electrosonic LP reissue

Electrosonic

s/t LP (Glo-Spot) £14
Stunningly presented reissue of an extremely rare Delia Derbyshire release. This initially came out in 1972 as a KPM Library disc and features Delia, fellow Radiophonic Workshop employee (and creator of the Tardis noise in Doctor Who) Brian Hodgson and Australian mood music composer Don Harper. Electronic music that still sounds as futuristic and strange as it must have on release. Wonderful stuff. Beautiful sleeve design by Iker Spozio, green vinyl ... one listen to this and you'll be tickled pink!

T-shirt £10
White T-shirt with a design by Iker Spozio. Good quality material. Sizes: small, medium, large and extra-large.

i just got this, pretty nice album... and beautiful thick green vinyl.

racehorse 01.16.2007 12:22 PM

this isn't the same group who called themselves Elektrosonics, who were doing space-age electronioca in the 60s is it? they released an LP called "Electronic Music" on Phillips in '69 (it's fucking amazing), but i'm wondering if this is the same group...

porkmarras 01.16.2007 12:25 PM

Delia Derbyshire was a very important and creative member of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

racehorse 01.17.2007 04:50 PM

sonicl 01.18.2007 03:48 AM

Have you tried Boa Melody Bar (the link on my post at the top of the page)? The guy who's responsible for the rerelease is linked with them, so if anyone can get it they should be able to. Even if it's not listed, try sending Gayle, who runs the site, an email, she's a lovely lady and very helpful. And ask how her hand is, she burned it a week or so ago.

sun city girl 01.18.2007 06:30 AM

yeah, boa is great, that's from where i got the record too.

a bit offtopic, but i got the new hans grüsel's krankenkabinet lp at the same time, especially the b-side is excellent!

Delia Derbyshire / Electrosonic LP (Glo-Spot) £12.50

This is a repress on different coloured vinyl after the initial pressing sold out in a couple of weeks. Stunningly presented reissue of an extremely rare Delia Derbyshire release on Melody Bar reviewer John Cavanagh 's new label. Beautiful sleeve design by Iker Spozio, red / pink vinyl ... one listen to this and you'll be tickled pink!

Many thanks for that, but i thought that she was one of those artists who's apparently banned from being talked about on a forum about guitar gear.
