Just got my first car
 

I was going to go look at used cars today but I figured I'd just get a new one. My mom co-signed. Anyways, the car kicks ass. It's a 2007 Honda Accord coupe. Not bad for a first car. But it sucks that I am now in debt. 500$ a month. Man, that sucks; especially since I work minimum wage and go to school. I won't be able to buy music anymore. SHIT!!! Before, I was just working and I could spend on whatever I wanted since I am living with my parents for free and I get financial aid for school. Now I'm going to have to work my ass off. But I like the car a lot. I just hope I don't fuck up the car in a crash.

I'm not really into cars so much. I'll probably buy a used one, when the time comes.

Which reminds me, I need to start driving lessons. I've been meaning to start for the past several months.

i got my first car almost a year ago. a '94 Acura Integra, white, has a spoiler. i named it Caesar. i love it.

I think I have learned that nomatter what kind of car it is or what an absolute piece of crap it happens to be, it is still a car and it is better than living in chicago and taking the fucking train everywhere. congrats! you have a nice one so you have no problems, except for that 500 dollar business, christ get a job you failure!. I went to chicago BECAUSE of public trans port a tion. It seemed better than St. Louis but really it is inferior, for many reasons, lets not get into that tonight.

but really I miss the freedom of being able to sing in my car. and pay a lot of moneyfor gas, but hey, i spend the same on dunkin donuts and mcdonalds whenever i take the el. It's like Right There, hard to avoid you know?

great choice on model, you can't go wrong with an accord

my first was a white 95 accord coupe, it was quite nice, but as you eluded too above, you should definitley baby it, and drive extra slow in the rain, i totalled my first car under rainy conditions and never saw i again, (had the good sense to snap my mudhoney cd out of it before i left the car), i was so taken by the model that i next got a bronze 1990 sedan with under 38,000 miles(that is beyond rare) which drove as far as NYC three times, and recently got a black 2000 sedan which has a very different feeling suspension and smoother ride

accords are excellent, and i bet that 07 model will last you a long time,

just remember, as you good as you can be on the road, always watch out for the other driver, i mean fuck

you know what i takewhen i want to go home? The Megabus. From Chicago to St.louis, and vice versa, in about 4 and 1/2 hours. don't know how they manage, it's a miracle. I like stopping halfway at the quick shop and getting some pretzels and Grapeade Snapple if they have it.anything grape flavored is best for regular life and after pretzels. I got some Judy Bloom books for my brother lasttime, Superfrudge you know? I read them before,d on't remember a thing, but he thinks they are hilarious or something.

My sister's first car was brand new too. But she did have to drive a mini-van around for 2 years before my parents helped buy the new one.

I tried to learn to drive, but I had a big crash, and now I'm too scared to drive. I think I'll probably try again once I've gotten through uni (don't have the time or money to learn, and I couldn't afford a car).

I live in Oxford at the moment so you can walk or cycle anywhere in about 20 mins. Don't need a car :D

Back home in London its a different story, but the public transport system is ok, even though I bitch about it the whole time...
I would hate to drive in London anyway, the traffic is insane.

I once took 22 hour bus journey from London to the Alpes. It was AWFUL.

How am I a spoiled brat? I'm a low-class Hispanic living in Pomona, CA. My dad is a factory worker; he's no professional. My parents can't help me because they're in deep shit with their own debts. They can barely pay the bills. I'm paying for the car myself as well as for the insurance.
